

Two women, including a supermarket cashier, were arrested for allegedly conspiring to steal grocery items from a mall in Sta. Cruz, Manila, as reported by RH Boy Gonzales
According to the Manila Police District–Sta. Cruz Police Station, a civilian security guard noticed suspicious behavior from one of the women while shopping and began monitoring her. Upon reaching the checkout counter, the guard observed that several grocery items were not scanned but were placed in a plastic bag.
After leaving the establishment, the woman was followed by the security guard, who inspected the contents of her bag. The inspection revealed a discrepancy between the items purchased and those listed on the receipt.
Authorities recovered various grocery items with a total value of ₱3,054.46. The two women are now in police custody pending further investigation.
