Two Philippine Air Force (PAF) soldiers who were allegedly sexually abused by a two-star general are now back on duty.
Col. Ritza Ann Jovellanos, the acting spokesperson of the Philippine Air Force, said the two junior officers were only placed on a ten-day wellness break.
RH Edniel Parrosa reported that they allegedly turned down the psychological services offered by the PAF and decided to undergo counseling on their own, covering the costs themselves.
The AFP has expressed readiness to turn over the senior military officer once a civilian court issues a commitment order.
As of now, the initial investigation been completed and is said to be under review by AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., who is also designated as the convening authority for the court-martial.
In January, the alleged act of sexual assault occurred inside the personal quarters of the general at San Fernando Air Base, located in Lipa, Batangas.
The senior officer, who is now under house arrest in his quarters, has been officially relieved of his post.
