The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has officially declared two Navotas barangays, previously affected by illegal drugs, as drug-free.

Mayor John Rey Tiangco, together with city council members, personally handed over the PDEA certificates to Bagumbayan South Barangay Chairperson Joselito Sulit and North Bay Boulevard North Barangay Chairperson Noel Aviles. The recognition marks the barangays’ success in the campaign against illegal drugs.

The mayor said the achievement reflects the strong collaboration among the barangays, law enforcement authorities, the community, and the PNP in upholding the law.

Mayor Tiangco also urged Navotas residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or illegal activities in their neighborhoods via Text JRT.

With this declaration, Bagumbayan South and North Bay Boulevard North become the 15th and 16th barangays, respectively, out of 18 in Navotas to be recognized as drug-free by PDEA.
