The tropical storm being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has weakened into a tropical depression on Friday, March 13, according to PAGASA.
As of 3:00 a.m., the weather bureau said Tropical Depression “Nuri” was located 1,580 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gusts of up to 55 km/h.
It is moving east-southeastward at 10 km/h.
In its daily weather forecast, PAGASA said the Northeast Monsoon or amihan continues to affect Luzon and parts of the Visayas.
Cloudy skies with light rains are expected over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes due to the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also caused by the northeast monsoon.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
