Tropical Depression “Nuri,” which was being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), has weakened into a low pressure area (LPA), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported Friday morning.
As of 8:00 a.m., the LPA was located 1,580 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao.
PAGASA said the system no longer has any direct or indirect effect over any part of the country.
The agency added that the LPA is “unlikely to redevelop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.”
