Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV on Thursday dismissed claims by Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte about an alleged arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Sen. Bong Go and two former police officials, urging the public not to believe unverified information.

Trillanes said any potential warrant from the ICC would not be immediately known, citing the case of former President Rodrigo Duterte, who was previously linked to an ICC investigation.

“Wag kayo magpapaniwala dyan kay Pulong. Wala pang ICC warrant na lumabas para kanino man. Kung may lalabas man later on, siguradong di nya malalaman yan gaya nung di nalaman ng tatay nya na may warrant na sya,” Trillanes said.

The statement came after Paolo Duterte claimed, citing what he described as a reliable source, that the ICC had issued arrest warrants against Go and two former police officers.

Several government agencies have since denied the claim, including the Department of Justice, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine National Police, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian also said the report remains unverified and cautioned the public against drawing conclusions based on unconfirmed information.

Authorities, however, reiterated that they remain committed to enforcing the law in accordance with established legal procedures should any official communication be received.
