The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved a toll rate increase on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), which will take effect on Tuesday, January 20.
Under the new rates, the open system toll from Balintawak, Caloocan, and Mindanao Avenue to north of Marilao will increase by ₱6 for Class 1 vehicles, ₱12 for Class 2, and ₱16 for Class 3 vehicles.
For end-to-end trips from Marilao to Sta. Ines, tolls will go up by ₱24 for Class 1, ₱60 for Class 2, and ₱72 for Class 3 vehicles.
The TRB said the adjustment aims to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and improvement of NLEX, providing motorists with safer and faster travel.
NLEX Corporation stated that this hike represents the second and final phase of toll increases, which were originally scheduled for 2023 but postponed to lessen the financial impact on drivers.
