A trailer truck rammed into the railings of the Buendia Flyover, causing a portion of the structure to collapse due to the force of the impact.

The 28-year-old helper sustained injuries after the truck’s front portion was severely damaged from the impact, which also caused part of the flyover’s railings to collapse.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Christopher Agustin, blamed the slippery road for the accident, saying the truck skidded after rains brought by Typhoon Opong.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Authorities have begun clearing operations as motorists continue to experience heavy congestion around the affected section of the flyover.
