The Top 8 Most Wanted person in Region I was apprehended by authorities in Dagupan, Pangasinan, reported Dagupan City police on Tuesday.

The suspect, 24, is a jeepney driver and resident of Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City. He is facing nine counts of statutory rape, reported Freddie Fajardo on Wednesday.

According to a report by Dagupan OIC Police City Director PCol. Arnold Solomon, his men arrested the suspect in Barangay Mayombo, pursuant of a warrant of arrest issued by the Dagupan City Regional Trial Court (RTC) dated February 6. The court recommends no bail.

“The arrest of this individual, who is accused of heinous crimes against a minor, underscores our unwavering commitment to making Dagupan City a safer place. We will not stop until every person with a standing warrant is brought before the court. Let this serve as a warning: there is no hiding place for those who violate the law, especially those who prey on the vulnerable,” said Solomon in a statement.

At present, the suspect is under the custody of police and awaiting proper disposition.
