A 19-year-old Filipina-Italian senior high school student has accused a transport network vehicle service (TNVS) driver of rape during a trip in the early hours of May 8, a commuters’ safety group said.

According to a report by RH Val Gonzales, the victim sought help from Lawyers and Commuters Safety and Protection, which is assisting her in filing a case against the 33-year-old driver.

In her account, the alleged assault occurred inside a black vehicle along New York Street corner Imperial Street in Barangay E. Rodriguez, Cubao, Quezon City, while she was a passenger.
