TNT Tropang 5G leaned on a balanced offensive surge and a suffocating defensive stand in the second half to defeat Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 106-98, in Game 4 of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Wednesday night, June 10, tying the series at 2-2.

Jordan Heading sparked TNT’s offense with a breakout shooting performance, drilling five three-pointers to help set the tone early. Chris McCullough took over down the stretch, scoring 19 of his 24 points in the second half as TNT repeatedly shut the door on Ginebra’s comeback attempts.

The turning point came in the third quarter, where TNT’s defense tightened significantly, holding Ginebra to just 35.7% shooting while igniting a decisive 19-4 run that swung momentum firmly in its favor.

TNT Tropang 5G maintained control from there, using timely stops and shot-making to keep the Gin Kings at bay despite late pushes.

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel was led by Justin Brownlee, who delivered his usual all-around scoring punch, including multiple four-point conversions, but the defending champions struggled to sustain energy in the second half.

Ginebra head coach Tim Cone said his team was out-physicaled and showed signs of fatigue after the break as TNT dictated the tempo on both ends.

Heading into the pivotal matchup, Ginebra’s RJ Abarrientos had been recognized as Best Player of the Conference, while Brownlee was named Best Import of the Conference—individual honors that ultimately took a back seat to TNT’s Game 4 response.

With the series now level, momentum shifts heading into Game 5 of what has become a tightly contested championship battle.
