Timor-Leste, the newest member of ASEAN, has offered to send 120 engineers and firefighters to assist in the cleanup and rehabilitation of areas heavily affected by Typhoon Tino.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) welcomed the offer on Friday, November 7, 2025, and expressed gratitude for the support from the international community.
The DFA emphasized that such assistance is vital to ongoing relief and recovery efforts, particularly in Cebu, which bore the brunt of the storm.
“The Philippines sincerely appreciates the offers and commitments of humanitarian assistance from the international community following the widespread destruction in Cebu and other parts of Central Philippines caused by Typhoon Tino,” the DFA said in a statement.
The department also thanked international partners for their messages of sympathy and solidarity.
