Cavite 4th District Representative Kiko Barzaga has urged the public to join an anti-corruption protest targeting the Marcos administration, set to take place in Forbes Park, Makati City, tonight, October 12, at 10:00 PM.

In a public statement posted online, Barzaga called on fellow citizens to “fight back against corruption” and accused the current administration of ignoring public clamor for accountability following the September 21 demonstrations.

“For too long have our cries for justice fallen on deaf ears. September 21 was only the beginning... the Marcos administration is far too detached to understand the severity of their crimes,” Barzaga said.

The lawmaker said the upcoming protest would “bring the people’s anger to the doors of the corrupt,” describing it as a direct action against those he claimed “benefit from greed and corruption.”

Barzaga’s post also included a list of “essentials” for attendees, advising participants to wear hoods, masks, and shades—purportedly for protection from weather and dust.

“We will deliver the people's anger right at their doorstep. We will bring the frustrations of those who lost their homes to corruption to the homes of those who are corrupt,” he said.

According to a report by DZRH News Reporter Jecelle Ricafort, around 615 personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), and private security forces have been deployed in the area to ensure peace and order.

In a later update, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) confirmed that the rally does not have a permit and that authorities will ask demonstrators to disperse peacefully should the protest proceed.
