

The Oklahoma City Thunder moved one win away from the NBA Finals after pulling away in the second half to defeat the San Antonio Spurs, 127-114, in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Wednesday (Philippine time).
With the win, Oklahoma City takes a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
After a tightly contested opening quarter that saw the Thunder edge the Spurs, 29-27, Oklahoma City created separation in the second period, building a 69-58 halftime advantage behind a balanced offensive attack.
The Spurs kept pace in the third quarter, but the Thunder maintained control, entering the final frame with a 101-91 lead. Oklahoma City then held off San Antonio’s late push in the fourth to secure the double-digit victory.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 32 points and nine assists, orchestrating the offense while adding two steals. Rookie Jared McCain provided a scoring boost with 20 points, including three 3-pointers.
For San Antonio, Stephon Castle paced the team with 24 points, five rebounds, and six assists, along with three steals and three triples.
