The Oklahoma City Thunder opened their Western Conference Semifinals campaign with a commanding 108–90 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1, powered by a balanced attack and a dominant interior presence.

The Thunder controlled the game from the start, taking a 31–26 lead after the first quarter before extending their advantage to 61–53 at halftime. Oklahoma City maintained momentum in the second half, outscoring Los Angeles 23–19 in the third period and closing strong in the fourth to secure a convincing win.

Chet Holmgren anchored the Thunder’s frontcourt with a standout performance, finishing with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks, asserting his presence on both ends of the floor.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 18 points, 6 assists, and 2 blocks, orchestrating Oklahoma City’s offense while contributing key defensive stops.

Ajay Mitchell also delivered a solid outing off the bench, tallying 18 points and 4 assists to help sustain the Thunder’s offensive rhythm.

For the Lakers, offensive struggles and defensive lapses proved costly as they failed to keep pace with Oklahoma City’s efficiency and shot selection.

With the victory, the Thunder take a 1–0 lead in the best-of-seven series, putting early pressure on Los Angeles heading into Game 2.
