The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has successfully auctioned off three of the 12 luxury vehicles confiscated from the Discaya couple, generating millions of pesos in revenue for the government.
Among those sold was a Lincoln Navigator, purchased by Cantinetta Espresso Concepts for ₱6,950,000; the Cadillac Escalade was acquired by Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc. for ₱6,623,000; while the Bentley Bentayga was won by TDY Consumer Goods Trading after competitive bidding at ₱12,178,174.15.
The vehicles were part of a larger batch of high-end units seized by authorities over alleged violations of customs laws, including improper importation and documentation issues. The public auction forms part of the BOC’s mandate to dispose of forfeited goods in accordance with customs regulations, ensuring transparency while boosting state revenues.
BOC officials said the remaining nine luxury vehicles will also be scheduled for auction in the coming weeks, subject to appraisal and completion of legal requirements. Proceeds from the auction will be remitted to the national government, supporting public programs and services.
