Three children who turned out to be siblings were confirmed dead after a fire broke out along Pepe Street in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City, on Tuesday morning, October 14.

According to authorities, the blaze quickly spread through residential houses made of light materials, prompting firefighters to raise the situation to a third alarm.

Initial reports revealed that the victims, all minors, were asleep inside their home when the fire started. Their parents were reportedly away at the time of the incident.

A relative attempted to rescue the children but was unable to reach them in time, as the flames had already engulfed the structure.

Fire investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
