Thirdy Ravena is set to return to Japan’s B.LEAGUE after reaching a contract agreement with the Toyama Grouses for the 2026-27 season, the league announced.
Ravena, one of the first Filipino players to compete professionally in Japan, previously spent multiple seasons with the San-en NeoPhoenix before taking his talents to Dubai Basketball. His move to Toyama marks a new chapter in his international career.
The 29-year-old guard expressed his excitement about returning to Japan and rejoining the B.LEAGUE.
“Hello boosters, I’m Thirdy Ravena and I’m excited to come back to Japan and play my best for the Grouses this season,” Ravena said in a statement released by the league.
“Very happy to return to Japan again and play as part of the Toyama Grouses. Please support me as I give my all for my team this season.”
Ravena made history in 2020 when he became the first Filipino import in the B.LEAGUE, helping pave the way for other Philippine players to follow.
His signing is expected to boost the Grouses as they look to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season.
