Danny O'Donoghue, lead vocalist of The Script, was spotted in Bonifacio Global City on Tuesday, May 26, drawing excitement from Filipino fans as he visited the country to promote the band’s upcoming Manila concert.
O’Donoghue is in the Philippines to drum up anticipation for “Man in the Arena,” The Script’s scheduled performance on March 18, 2027, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Ticket sales for the show will begin on May 29, 2026, through SM Tickets.
During his Manila visit, the singer also teased new music from the band, revealing that their upcoming track, “Living Our Life Without Me,” serves as a continuation of their hit song The Man Who Can't Be Moved.
The new single will be part of their forthcoming album, The User’s Guide to Being Human, set for release in August 2026.
O’Donoghue shared his admiration for Filipino fans, describing the experience of performing in the country as “uniquely surreal.”
He noted that audiences in the Philippines create a distinct atmosphere during concerts, saying he can clearly hear the “Filipino accent” when crowds sing along, forming what he described as a massive, perfectly in-tune choir.
As part of his promotional activities, O’Donoghue made appearances on local television programs, including Unang Hirit and It's Showtime, where he engaged with fans and discussed both the upcoming tour and the band’s new material.
The Script has long enjoyed a strong following in the Philippines, with their emotionally driven hits and energetic performances resonating deeply with local audiences.
The 2027 concert is expected to draw a large crowd as fans eagerly await the band’s return to the Manila stage.
