Senator Jinggoy Estrada stands as the “other Estrada” who will expose the bad ones after being linked to the anomalous flood control project by former Bulacan DPWH Assistant District Engineer Brice Hernandez.
Estrada drew a sharp contrast with his brother, Senator JV Ejercito during his privilege speech in the Senate on Wednesday, September 10.
“My brother, Senator JV Ejercito, is known as the good one. But let me be known as the other Estrada who went after the bad ones,” Estrada declares.
“I will expose and relentlessly pursue the bad ones. I will expose and relentlessly pursue the bad ones, regardless of the risks and notwithstanding the cost.
The senator vows not to be silenced by accusations linking him to anomalous flood control projects, and branding his accuser as a “shameless liar and thief.”
He also insisted he would not allow critics to weaponize his past cases to derail his pursuit of accountability in the alleged ghost flood control projects.
“I vow never to let the masterminds and engineers of this massive defrauding of the Filipino people to silence me.
Estrada’s fiery remarks further inflamed the already heated investigations in both the Senate and House of Representatives into corruption in flood control projects, which have been tied to billions of pesos in questionable spending.
