OPM rock icons The Dawn mark their 40th year in the music industry with a series of milestone events, highlighted by their unique collaboration, “The Dawn of Ballet,” with Ballet Manila on February 20 and 21, 2026.
During an exclusive interview on DZRH TV's Scenezone, the band appeared alongside Prima Ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde to formally announce their Ballet and Ballads collaboration.
Macuja-Elizalde, who is also commemorating 40 years since returning to the Philippines from Russia, shared that the project goes beyond a joint performance. It stands as a celebration of both music and dance, honoring the four-decade journeys of the band and the ballerina.
As part of their anniversary festivities, The Dawn will also mount “Kwarenta,” a concert tour marking their four decades in the OPM scene. The tour is set to visit countries including Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, with additional dates and locations to be announced.
In between international stops, the band will return home for a special show at Solaire Resort & Casino for “Kwarenta: The Dawn’s 40th Anniversary.”
