Eric of the K-pop boy group The Boyz touched fans after sharing a heartfelt New Year’s letter on X, written in multiple languages—including a special message in Tagalog dedicated to their Filipino fans.

The idol posted the letter as part of his New Year greeting, offering words of reflection and encouragement as 2026 began.

In his message, Eric wrote: “Maligayang Bagong Taon sa inyong lahat! Kumusta ang naging 2025 para sa inyo, Debi? Sigurado akong hindi ito naging madali. Marahil marami ring araw na masaya, pero marami ring sandaling masakit sa puso, tama ba?”

Through the letter, Eric acknowledged the challenges his fans faced over the past year, commending them for their strength and perseverance. He also shared that, despite experiencing sleepless nights and uncertainty about the future, his fans gave him the courage to keep moving forward.

The singer expressed how deeply he treasures the memories and moments he has shared with Filipino fans, saying these experiences serve as a strong foundation that continues to deepen their bond.

Eric concluded his message with a heartfelt promise, writing: “Mamahalin ko kayo nang buong-buo at walang pagsisisi, Deobi. Sana samahan n’yo rin ako sa 2026. THE BOYZ & THE B. Gets? Sige! “Tandaan n’yo palagi, mahal kayo ni Eric.”

He also added a postscript that further warmed fans’ hearts: “Sobrang nami-miss talaga kita, THE B. Hinihintay ko ang araw na magkita tayo ulit… Kahit minsan lang tayo magkita, sana manatili tayo nang matagal. Promise.”

The Boyz last visited the Philippines in 2024 for their Zeneration II concert in Manila, which was part of their world tour. During the show, the members openly expressed their affection for Filipino fans, also known as Filo Deobis. Eric, in particular, charmed the crowd by referring to Manila as his “hometown” and delighting fans with his use of Filipino expressions throughout the event.
