MANILA, Philippines — TECNO has officially launched its latest smartphone in the Philippines, bringing together a 6.39mm-thin design, a 6,000mAh battery, a 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 700C main camera, and a range of AI-powered features.
Unveiled on September 15, the new device expands TECNO’s CAMON lineup with a focus on mobile photography, design, and practical AI tools for everyday use.
Despite its slim 6.39mm profile, the smartphone carries a 6,000mAh battery. Its design continues the swan-neck curve seen in the CAMON 50 series, with inspiration drawn from ballet movements and automotive lines.
The device is available in five colorways: Burgundy Red, Neo Mondrian, Matisse Black, Van Gogh Blue, and Rebel Pink. Each takes a different approach to its design, drawing from various art styles and techniques.
Neo Mondrian, for example, uses photochromic technology that reveals colored blocks under ultraviolet light. Van Gogh Blue uses a patterned gradient finish inspired by the swirling night sky in Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night. Matisse Black pairs a black fiberglass body with fluorescent green accents, while Burgundy Red uses a matte fiberglass finish. Rebel Pink combines pink accents with a black body.
CAMERA FOCUSED ON EVERYDAY MOMENTS
The smartphone features a 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 700C Ultra-Night Main Camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, supported by a closed-loop ball motor for autofocus.
Its stabilization system combines Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), AI Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), and AI Shutter to help produce steadier images, particularly when shooting in low-light or moving situations.
Among its camera features is Super-Zoom FlashSnap, which uses AI to automatically capture moments without requiring users to press the shutter. It supports up to 2x telephoto shooting and shutter speeds of up to 1/11236 second.
For portrait photography, Multi-Focal-Length Portrait offers 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm focal lengths, giving users different options for framing subjects.
The device also comes with TECNO Universal Tone, the brand’s AI-powered imaging technology designed to reproduce a wider range of skin tones across different lighting conditions.
Also introduced alongside the smartphone is the TECNO Mag Badge, a magnetic accessory with a built-in battery and 1.73-inch AMOLED display. Connected via Bluetooth, it can serve as a photo gallery display, remote shutter, and selfie assistant, with a range of up to 10 meters.
AI TOOLS FOR WORK AND EVERYDAY USE
The new smartphone also incorporates several AI features aimed at practical, everyday applications.
AI Snap Poster can remove the background from product photos and place the subject into selected settings, allowing users to create product visuals directly from the device.
AI Pet Together combines separate photos of users and their pets into a single composite image, while AI LightMaster 2.0 can remove shadows, flares, and reflections from photos.
For students and professionals, AI Recording Notes can transcribe recorded lectures or meetings into structured notes and match whiteboard photos with corresponding sections of an audio recording.
AI Class Schedule, meanwhile, can import class schedules from screenshots, organize subjects using different colors, and display them through a dedicated widget.
The device also features AI Healthy Eating, which analyzes food photos to estimate calories and nutrients and provide meal suggestions.
BUILT FOR DIFFERENT CONDITIONS
The smartphone comes with IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 protection ratings. TECNO says it can support underwater photography and has also passed MIL-STD-810 certification for shock and drop resistance.
Its display measures 6.78 inches and uses a 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also carries TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
For use in wet conditions, Wet & Oily Hand Touch Recognition 2.0 is designed to keep the screen responsive when exposed to water or oil. Rain Touch and Waterproof Case Touch provide additional control options when using the device in rainy conditions or with a waterproof case.
The smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G processor, an eight-core chipset designed to balance performance and power efficiency.
TECNO is also offering five years of security updates and three major OS upgrades. The device has received TÜV SÜD certification for 60 months of sustained fluidity.
