Team Liquid PH absorbed a 0-2 defeat to Aurora Gaming in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals of Group B at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup (MSC) of the 2026 Esports World Cup in Paris, France.

The loss sent the Filipino squad to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, where it will attempt to stay in contention on Aug. 1.

Aurora Gaming, composed of Turkish players, imposed its dominance early, particularly in the jungle, and overwhelmed Team Liquid PH in the series.

In one lopsided game, Aurora surged to an 18-1 kill advantage and closed out the match in under 10 minutes during the opening game.

In Game 2, the Filipino side held its ground early, but Aurora Gaming eventually broke through and forced a surrender in under 14 minutes.

The result marked a difficult start for Team Liquid PH, in contrast to fellow Philippine representative Team Falcons, which opened its campaign on a strong note.

“Not every chapter begins the way you hope. We'll learn, adapt, and keep fighting. See you in the next battle,” Team Liquid PH said in an online post following the loss.

Despite the setback, the team remains in the tournament and will look to regroup as it shifts to the lower bracket.
