

Tropical Depression Ester continues to maintain its strength while moving over the sea east of Taiwan. As of 5:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, Ester was located at 380 km north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
It has maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 55km/h and central pressure of 1000 hPa. It is currently moving east northeastward at 15 km/h.
There are no Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) currently hoisted in the country.
According to PAGASA, Ester is forecast to move generally northeastward towards the East China Sea and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this morning.
However, the state weather bureau noted that Ester will remain a tropical depression in the next 12 hours, before transitioning into a post-tropical low tomorrow morning, June 7.
