TBA Studios, the production company behind the "Bayaniverse" film series, has released the official trailer for its upcoming, final biopic featuring former Commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon on Tuesday, August 19, which commemorates his birth anniversary.
The trailer promises an insightful and nuanced look into the personal and political life of the former President, portrayed by Jericho Rosales.
It depicts Quezon as a “chameleon” adept at politics, although driven by good intentions.
“I will lead this nation into prosperity,” he says in the video.
“By hook or by crook,” responds his friend Joven Hernando, played by Arron Villaflor.
Alongside Rosales are Benjamin Alves as a younger Manuel Quezon and Mon Confiado as Emilio Aguinaldo, reprising their roles in previous installments of the series, “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral (The Boy General).”
“Game of Thrones” Star Iain Glen also stars as Leonard Wood, who served as the country’s Governor-General during Quezon’s time.
Quezon premieres in theaters on October 15.
