Pop superstar Taylor Swift made headlines over the weekend after performing “The Fate of Ophelia” live for the first time at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
According to Variety, Swift delivered a four-song set at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala on Saturday, October 17, marking her first full-band performance since the conclusion of her Eras Tour.
Aside from “The Fate of Ophelia,” the singer performed her hit songs “Blank Space” and “Love Story,” as well as “I Knew It, I Knew You,” her original song for Toy Story 5.
Comedian Conan O’Brien introduced Swift before her performance, praising her talent and highlighting their connection through the upcoming animated film.
Swift also encouraged guests to dance during her set, adding to the evening’s celebratory atmosphere.
The gala, held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, honored filmmaker John Carpenter and actors Colman Domingo and Charlize Theron.
Swift’s live performance of “The Fate of Ophelia” follows the release of the expanded edition of her album The Life of a Showgirl, which features four additional tracks.
She also recently released the music video for “Patient Zero,” starring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell. The video premiered at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, where Swift received the inaugural Artist Director Honors and won Video of the Year for “The Fate of Ophelia.”
Her appearance at the Academy Museum Gala further highlighted her continued presence in both the music and film industries, particularly through her contribution to Toy Story 5.
