The Philippines has extended its visa-free entry program for Taiwan passport holders for another year, allowing visits of up to 14 days, the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) said.
In a statement released late Tuesday, MECO said the extension will run until June 30, 2027, continuing a policy that grants short-term visa-free access to Taiwanese travelers.
The arrangement is in line with reciprocal privileges extended to Philippine passport holders traveling to Taiwan, MECO added.
The visa-free program is expected to support tourism and strengthen people-to-people ties between the Philippines and Taiwan, particularly as travel demand continues to recover in the region.
Taiwanese visitors entering the Philippines under the program must comply with standard entry requirements, including a passport valid for at least six months and a confirmed return or onward ticket.
Philippine authorities have periodically renewed the visa-free policy since it was first introduced, citing its positive impact on tourism and bilateral relations.
