Matibag said the move was made as the coach is currently with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) for a separate investigation into the deaths of Ateneo players Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili on June 8.
Baldwin previously failed to appear despite a subpoena issued by the NBI-Homicide Division on Tuesday. Officials said he is now expected to present himself to the bureau on Monday, June 22.
Also expected to appear before the NBI-Homicide Division are former Ateneo team manager Epok Quimpo and assistant coaches Reynaldo Jacinto Jr. and Dean Castaño.
Earlier, coach Sandro Soriano and more than 20 current and former Ateneo Blue Eagles players had already appeared before investigators.
Matibag declined to provide details on the initial or partial findings of the bureau regarding the deaths of the two players, saying the investigation remains ongoing.
He said the bureau will continue gathering statements from team members, which will form part of the evidence in the continuing probe.
Matibag assured the public of a fair, comprehensive, and thorough investigation.
