T1 marked another golden chapter in esports history after completing the first-ever three-peat in the League of Legends World Championship, defeating KT Rolster in a 3–2 finale held at the Chengdu Dong’an Lake Sports Park in China on November 9.

The South Korean powerhouse captured its third straight World Championship crown—and sixth overall.

The champions previously reigned in 2013, 2015, and 2016 before reclaiming its dominance with three consecutive titles from 2023 to 2025, an unprecedented feat in LoL history.

T1 started slow after dropping the first set but bounced back in the mid-series with improved coordination and mid-game control. KT, however, answered in the next two sets, pushing T1 to the brink.

In a must-win fourth set, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, 29, and AD carry Lee “GumaYushi” Min-hyung, 23, spearheaded T1’s comeback with clutch plays and teamfight precision.

The momentum carried into the fifth and deciding set, where T1 dominated objectives and closed the series in just 37 minutes, shattering KT’s hopes and lifting the Summoner’s Cup once again.

T1’s road to the championship was far from easy. As the 4th seed, they had to survive an interregional qualifier, defeating China’s Invictus Gaming 3–1 to enter the main event. They then overcame China’s Any1 Legends in the quarterfinals and Top Esports in the semifinals before meeting KT in the final showdown

With the all-Korean final, South Korea extended its dominance at Worlds to four straight years—DRX (2022) and T1 (2023, 2024, 2025).
