Authorities are on the hunt for a suspect linked to the killing of two individuals whose bodies were found inside a burned red car in Barangay Sibasajan, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.
The victims—a man and a woman—were discovered around noon on Monday, March 9, near a local poultry farm. Residents reported that the car’s engine was still running as they helped extinguish the flames.
Investigators said the victims had gunshot wounds, and several bullet casings were recovered at the scene. Efforts are ongoing to track down the suspect responsible for the crime.
Nueva Ecija Police Chief Col. Ritchie Claravall vowed that those behind the killings will be held accountable, while Regional Director BGen Jess Mendez has ordered local authorities to intensify the manhunt.
