A suspect allegedly involved in a drug-related case was apprehended following a chase that ended at Pagadian Airport on Saturday, August 16.
The incident occurred at around 12:15 p.m. during a hot pursuit operation by the authorities.
The chase began in Barangay Muricay, when the suspect jumped over the airport fence and entered the area of Runway 20.
The suspect was quickly apprehended on the runway strip and turned over to the Pagadian City Police for appropriate action.
Despite the runway incursion, flight operations remained normal with no disruptions, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
The agency also confirmed that no damage was caused to airport facilities or equipment, and assured the public that flight operations remain safe.
