Severe Tropical Storm Gardo (international name: Higos) has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the PAGASA said on Friday.

In its 11:00 a.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, PAGASA said Gardo left the PAR at 9:30 a.m.

It was last located about 1,310 kilometers east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour, gusts of up to 115 kph, and moving northward at 50 kph.

No Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is currently in effect anywhere in the country.

Although Gardo is no longer directly affecting the Philippines, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon will continue to bring strong to gale-force wind gusts across most of Luzon on Friday. On Saturday, similar conditions are expected over Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.

The weather bureau also urged the public to refer to its latest Weather Advisory for the heavy rainfall outlook associated with the southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile, rough sea conditions of up to 3.0 meters are expected over the northern seaboard of Batanes, where small seacraft, including motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea.

Moderate sea conditions are also forecast over the coastal waters of the Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Zambales, Lubang Island, Kalayaan Islands, Pangasinan, Bataan, and Batangas. Operators of small vessels are advised to exercise caution and avoid sailing if possible.

PAGASA said Gardo is expected to move north northeastward toward southern Japan while maintaining its strength over the next 12 hours.

Unless the storm re-enters the PAR, the weather bureau said this is its final tropical cyclone bulletin for Gardo.
