The San Antonio Spurs are back on the Western Conference stage.

The Spurs powered past the Minnesota Timberwolves, 139-109, on the road in Game 6 on Saturday (PH time), clinching the series and advancing to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2017.

Rookie guard Stephon Castle delivered a breakout performance with 32 points to lead San Antonio, setting the tone early as the Spurs overwhelmed Minnesota with pace and shot-making.

Victor Wembanyama added 19 points and 11 rebounds, anchoring the paint on both ends, while De'Aaron Fox contributed 21 points and nine assists, controlling the offense with steady playmaking. Fellow rookie Dylan Harper chipped in 15 points to help seal the dominant win.

Minnesota star Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 24 points in a losing effort as the Spurs’ defense and transition attack proved too much to handle.

San Antonio broke the game open in the second half, turning a competitive start into a lopsided finish as their depth and tempo wore down the home team.

The Spurs will now face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, setting up a highly anticipated matchup between two of the league’s youngest and fastest-rising teams.
