Senate President Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian conducted an inspection of the Senate plenary hall in preparation for the fast-approaching impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte, reported RH 28 Raymund Dadpaas on Tuesday.

The trial is scheduled to begin on July 6 at 2:00 p.m.

On the sidelines of the inspection, Gatchalian told the press that, as the case against Senator Rodante Marcoleta has not been filed yet, he cannot comment on it.

When asked how he would respond to a request for protective custody, Gatchalian said the Senate will “cross the bridge when (it) gets there.”
