The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, will bring rains over parts of Luzon and the Visayas on Friday, September 11, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

PAGASA said Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan may experience occasional rains due to the Southwest Monsoon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Northern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also caused by the Habagat.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, as of 2:00 a.m. on Friday, PAGASA said a Low Pressure Area (LPA 09b) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is being monitored and has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Another Low Pressure Area, LPA 09c, is also being monitored outside the PAR but is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

The public is advised to remain alert for possible weather-related hazards, particularly in areas expected to experience rains and thunderstorms.
