SEOUL, July 2 (Reuters) - South Korea's consumer inflation rate quickened in June to 3.2% from a year earlier, reaching a 2-1/2-year high due to high oil prices triggered by the Iran war.
The increase, matching market forecasts, marks the biggest jump since December 2023 after accelerating from 3.1% in May, according to the Ministry of Data and Statistics.
From a month earlier, the index increased 0.1%, as was expected.
