Veteran South Korean actor Park Dong-bin, widely recognized online as the “Juice Guy,” has died at the age of 56.

According to The Korea Times, police in Pyeongtaek said an acquaintance discovered Park unresponsive at around 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday at a restaurant he had been preparing to open in the Jangan-dong area of Pyeongtaek.

Officials from the Pyeongtaek Police Station reported no immediate signs of foul play, and no suicide note was found at the scene.

The exact cause of death has not yet been determined, and an investigation is ongoing.

A wake has been arranged at a funeral hall in Anseong, with services scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Friday. His remains will be taken to the Yongin Forest of Peace before burial at Woosung Memorial Park.

Park married actress Lee Sang-yi in February 2020. He is survived by his wife and their daughter.

The actor rose to international internet fame following a scene in the 2012 MBC drama “It Was Love,” in which his character dramatically spits out orange juice in shock. The clip went viral, earning him the nickname “Juice Guy” among fans.

Born Park Jong-moon in 1970, he made his acting debut in the 1998 film Shiri. Over the years, he built a prolific career with roles in films such as “Volcano High,” “How to Keep My Love,” and “The Huntresses.” His television credits included “Rustic Period,” “Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin” and “The Great Wives.”
