President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) today, July 27, 2026, is expected to last only an hour and 20 minutes, said the Palace.
This number is based off Marcos’ rehearsal speech, according to a report by RH 14 Leth Narciso, although this does not take into account the applause that may further lengthen its duration.
Aside from this, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro did not further elaborate on other aspects of the President’s speech.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chorale will sing the national anthem before the speech, while the Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) will serve as director of the event.
The Palace is aiming for a “simple but dignified” SONA this year.
