Parañaque Second District Rep. Brian Yamsuan is pushing for full tax exemptions on incentives, rewards and donations received by Filipino national athletes and their coaches under House Bill No. 9417.

The proposed measure seeks to exempt from taxes the incentives and rewards granted to Filipino athletes and coaches who represent the country in local and international sports competitions. It would also cover athletes who participate in competitions but do not win.
