Six minors are now under the custody of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) following the alleged stabbing of two other minors at the corner of Mamay Road, Davao City, on Monday, July 6.
In a Magandang Umaga Pilipinas (MUP) report by RH Jhun Suter, according to the police investigation, the incident happened at around 4:20 p.m. when a group of young individuals allegedly attacked two high school students who were on their way home from school.
One of the victims sustained three stab wounds to the back, while the other suffered a single stab wound.
Both victims were immediately rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.
Authorities from the police station in Barangay San Jose, Buhangin, Davao City, quickly conducted a follow-up operation that led to the recovery and custody of the six minors allegedly involved in the incident.
The victim positively identified the primary suspect, identified as alias “Justin,” who also surrendered a swiss knife believed to have been used in the stabbing.
The DCPO continues its thorough investigation as authorities prepare the necessary legal proceedings in accordance with existing laws governing cases involving children in conflict with the law (CICL).
