The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon, or Amihan, will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country on Monday, January 26, accoding to PAGASA.

Based on PAGASA’s 4:00 a.m. bulletin, Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, Camiguin, and Misamis Oriental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the shear line.

Cagayan Valley, the rest of the Visayas, the rest of the Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to Amihan, while the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Forecast wind and coastal water conditions

  • The eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao will experience strong winds moving northeast to north with rough coastal waters.
  • The northern and eastern sections of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving east to northeast with moderate to rough seas.
  • The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong winds moving northeast with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Sunrise is expected at 6:25 a.m., while sunset will be at 5:52 p.m.
