The shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon, while the northeast monsoon (amihan) is affecting the rest of Northern and Central Luzon, according to PAGASA on Monday, January 12.

Based on its 4:00 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

The Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Also due to the northeast monsoon, Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving northeast, with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao will also experience moderate to strong winds moving northeast, with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds moving northeast to north, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
