

The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains to different parts of Luzon on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Based on PAGASA’s 4 a.m. daily forecast, cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced in the Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Northern Samar due to the shear line.
The Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, also due to the Northeast Monsoon.
The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA), meanwhile, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan.
Easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the rest of Eastern Visayas.
Also due to the easterlies, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving northeast, with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds moving from the northeast to north, with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds moving from the northeast to north, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
