Several areas in Metro Manila experienced flooding on Wednesday morning, September 9, due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

As of 9:15 a.m., the MMDA reported flooding in several roads and intersections across Quezon City, Manila, Mandaluyong, Caloocan, Marikina, and Valenzuela.

Quezon City

• Mindanao Avenue–North Avenue intersection — Gutter-deep; passable to all types of vehicles.
• Aurora–Araneta NB/WB — Gutter-deep; passable to all types of vehicles.
• Biak-na-Bato WB — Tire-deep; not passable to light vehicles.
• N.S. Amoranto — Tire-deep; not passable to light vehicles.

Manila City

• Roxas Boulevard–UN Avenue — Gutter-deep; passable to all types of vehicles.
• Kalaw–Maria Orosa (National Museum) — Gutter-deep; passable to all types of vehicles.
• Osmeña–Pedro Gil — Gutter-deep; passable to all types of vehicles.
• Rizal Avenue–R. Papa NB/SB — Half-gutter; passable to all types of vehicles.
• JAS Solis — Gutter-deep; passable to all types of vehicles.
• RMB–V. Mapa — Half-gutter; passable to all types of vehicles.

In Caloocan City
