Several senators on Monday expressed support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s plan to amend the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001 (EPIRA), particularly a provision that would prohibit power companies from passing on “systems loss” charges to consumers, a cost currently shared by users to cover unaccounted electricity in distribution areas.
