Selena Gomez has opened up about how nicotine vaping affected her voice and the challenges she faced in quitting the habit, urging others to avoid vaping or seek help if they are struggling with nicotine dependence.
The singer and actress said she had vaped nicotine heavily and believes the habit changed her voice, adding that quitting was more difficult than she expected.
“Nicotine is so hard to quit,” Gomez said in an online post, acknowledging the difficulty of overcoming the habit.
Gomez also encouraged people who vape, or are considering trying it, to reconsider their decision.
“It's just not worth it. It's so stupid and it's changed my voice,” she said.
Despite the challenges, Gomez expressed excitement about having stopped vaping and hope that she could maintain her progress.
“But I am really excited because I stopped and I just hope we can keep it up. It's really hard,” she said.
Gomez also offered words of encouragement to people dealing with similar struggles, saying they could overcome them.
“But I know if you are going through something, you can get through it too,” she said.
The singer's remarks highlight the difficulty of quitting nicotine and serve as a warning to those considering vaping, as well as encouragement for those trying to break the habit.
