Senator Christopher “Bong” Go said in a press conference on Tuesday, October 21, that he will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation into alleged corruption involving infrastructure projects, expressing confidence that truth and justice will prevail.

“I will cooperate with the investigation and abide by its legal processes. The truth will be revealed and believed that justice and fairness shall prevail. I hope that the Ombudsman will be fair,” Go said in a statement.

The senator reaffirmed his support for the country’s anti-corruption drive, stressing that those found guilty of wrongdoing must be held accountable.

“ I am one with the Filipinos in this crusade against corruption. Kasama niyo po ako, labanan po natin ang corruption. Ikulong po ang mga kurakot at mga magnanakaw,” he said

Go, however, cautioned against attempts to divert the issue, suggesting that a “script” or “playbook” seems to be shaping the public narrative.

“ Huwag pong ilihis yung issue dito. Tumbukin po yung dapat tumbukin. Napapansin ko parang naiiba na po ang narrative,” he remarked.

He appealed to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), the Office of the Ombudsman, and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to focus solely on uncovering the truth.

“As a Filipino, I urge the ICI, the Ombudsman, and the DPWH to seek the truth. If you make a mistake here, the country will only become more chaotic,” Go warned.
