Security was tightened in and around the Batasang Pambansa on Monday morning, July 27, hours before the fifth State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., as police ramped up deployment and screening measures despite rain-soaked roads from early morning showers.
Uniformed personnel from the Philippine National Police were stationed in strategic areas surrounding the complex, as reported by RH Edniel Parrosa.
Meanwhile a command center was set up at the Batasan Police Station under the Quezon City Police District, directly across the south gate of the House of Representatives.
