GenCorp Industries Inc. maintained eight active peso accounts with Security Bank, with year-end balances ranging from about ₱18,000 to ₱15.7 million, a bank official testified Wednesday during the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.

Security Bank Branch Banking Group Head Leslie Cham told senator-judge Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan that all eight GenCorp accounts remained active. The accounts were opened between October 2020 and November 2025.

Cham was testifying on the 35th day of Duterte’s impeachment trial, where lawmakers have been examining financial records related to the case.

Pangilinan asked Cham how many peso accounts GenCorp had with the bank and when they were opened.

Cham said the first account was opened in October 2020, followed by another in November 2020, two in March 2021, and one each in August 2023, January 2025, August 2025, and November 2025.

Cham also provided the year-end balances for the accounts for 2022 through 2025 as listed below:

Pangilinan specifically asked whether the accounts were still active, to which Cham answered yes.

Cham’s testimony formed part of the Senate’s examination of financial records during the impeachment proceedings against Duterte.
